Today was another day of not really doing much riding. We went to Le Mans to see the museum. We were a few days late for the 24-hour race which was last weekend.

We got to a park right outside the entrance to the museum. Our timing was perfect as those behind us had to park across the street.

Not all the vehicles at the museum were speedy. This steam powered carriage with metal tires would probably not have beaten a horse and carriage in its day.

Who doesn’t love the Stingray body style of Corvette. This was built to race at Le Mans. I’m not sure that it actually made it to the end of the race though.

There is something iconic about British Racing Green. It’s like the Ferrari and Ducati reds. It just looks understatedly fast. My son’s mini is this color too and it looks fast.

This had to be the most modern and advance car in the museum. There was a whole McLaren section. This is Lando Norris’s 2023 car. It is absolutely enormous and the aero packages are in some ways amazing and in others quite odd. Little bits of carbon fiber stuck here and there.

A good day isn’t done until food and wine have been enjoyed. The barbecue got its second work out of the week with entrecôte steaks. Probably along the lines of a New York strip.

Dessert was tart tarte tatin. Last night we had an apple pie, today we got a different apple dessert. It was not as caramelly as If expected. It seems to be a French version of a pineapple upside down cake.
